DJing for over a decade, Brett Lawrence has gained notoriety throughout his career by programming sets that are as well-crafted and sophisticated as they are danceable. Over the years he's played everything from ice-cold minimal house to lock groove techno in main rooms, warehouse raves and intimate bars, all with equal success.

As a DJ, Brett has graced the decks at some of the UK's largest festivals and best-known clubs, playing venues as diverse as The Key in London, Digger Russia and Herefords legendary Naughty But Nice. Using decks, CDJs, and outboard effects he creates sets that strike a balance between heavy floor tracks and elegant crowd-pleasers. His ability to work and surprise a crowd has seen him appear on bills alongside some of today's biggest names including Rocky and Diesel (X-press 2), Terry Francis, Sleeper Thief, Sebastian Leger and Billy Nasty.

Brett's first big break was in 1996 when he landed a residency at the Isle of Wight's Golden Hill Fort, an old army barracks that regularly hosted all-night, illegal raves. Brett played regularly at these events, which showcased some of dance musicıs leading DJs. Displaying an obvious talent to work a mix and capture the buzz of a crowd; he was soon holding down multiple residencies across the country.

Brett continued to hone his craft, gaining experience alongside some of today's most-respected DJs. He learnt how to become conscious of his listeners, working the mix and feeding off the buzz of the crowd, capturing the vibe and pushing it to the limit. As he explains it, "It's more than putting two records together. It's constructing a set and progressing with a crowd." - Lizz Goss (M8 Magazine)
